AC Secure have been working alongside The GORSE Academies Trust for a number of years, providing security requirements across their multi-academy estate.

Who are GORSE?

The GORSE Academies Trust are a Multi Academy Trust, currently compromising 15 sites which include Primary, Secondary, Alternative Provision and Post 16 settings. GORSE has a well-known reputation for changing the deal for children and young adults who come from some of the most impoverished parts of the country. The trust’s central mission is to ensure that they play a significant role in removing the stubborn link between poverty and academic underperformance. Consequently, their students and professionals are in the vanguard of the national drive which seeks to prove that where teaching is excellent, leadership inspiring and behaviour standards exemplary, all children excel regardless of background.

Our Solutions

As GORSE is an established and growing organisation, the work we do with the trust incudes adopting and improving existing systems, as well as new installations of CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control including automated gates, Fire Alarms and Lockdown/INVAC solutions.

Each site is different, requiring a full site survey to establish the best solution for each academy, with the number of cameras and access systems required differing (depending on the size of the premises). Following installation, set up, testing and training, the system is handed over to the site.

Recent projects include 140 plus CCTV installation at The Farnley Academy, intruder alarm upgrade at Boston Spa Academy, substantial additions to the Access Control systems at Bruntcliffe Academy and a complete site takeover of systems at Elliott Hudson College to name a few.

GORSE has invested in a full maintenance agreement for their systems which includes 24-hour telephone support, discounted call out rates and priority on booking in any works. Checks to the system, software updates, battery replacement, required reprogramming or reconfiguration are just some of the routine service and maintenance procedures that ensure each system performs effectively throughout its lifespan.
